Derrick Rose slammed the game winner in the last second to give the Minnesota Timberwolves a 116-114 victory over the Phoenix Suns at the Target Center on Sunday. He hit from 20 feet with 0.6 seconds left to the final buzzer.
Rose finished with 29 points of his total 31 points in the second half and made four rebounds and three assists to help his team overcome an 11-point deficit. He scored eight of the Wolves’ last 10 points. The buzzer beater came after Devin Booker lost the ball to Devin Booker when the score line was 114-114.
Karl-Anthony Towns made 30 points, out of which 13 shots came from the free throw in his 10th career game. He had 12 rebounds and 2 assists, while Taj Gibson finished with 17 points.
For the Suns, TJ Warren made a team-high 21 points, while Devin Booker and Kelly Oubre Jr scored 18 points each. With two losses in two days, the Suns completed a winless four-game trip.
Wolves have improved to 22-24 in the Western Conference. They meet the same team again Tuesday night in Phoenix.
