Rajon Rondon’s Buzzer Beater Lifts Lakers Over Celtics

Rajon Rondo hit a 20-feet buzzer beater to in the last second to lift the Los Angeles Lakers over his former club Boston Celtics on Thursday night.

With the game reaching to an end, Brandon Ingram made a failed attempt for the scoop in the frenzy few seconds. The ball was reflected to Rondo, who didn’t make a flaw to halt the Celtics' five-game winning streak at the TD Garden.

Rondo finished with 17 points, including three of four from three-point range, 10 assists and seven rebounds to halt the Celtics' five-game winning streak.

The Lakers, who were18 points down in the first quarter, came back to take 42 in the third quarter. Both teams were going neck to neck when Rondo netted the last two points at the buzzer.

LeBron James was the top scorer with 28 points which comprised triple-double of the season, 12 assists and 12 rebounds. Kyle Kuzma had 25 points, while JaVale McGee, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Rondo made 17 points each.

For the Celtics, Kyrie Irving made 24 points, Jason Tatum had 22 points, and Daniel Theis made 20 off the bench.

Lakers will take on the Philadelphia 76ers, while the Celtics travel to Los Angeles to play the Clippers on Sunday.
