Ronnie O'Sullivan Ousts Shaun Murphy To Reach Champions Snooker Final

Five-time world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan on Friday stormed into the final of the Champion of Champions at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. He marked a 6-3 win over world number ten Shaun Murphy.

The 42-year-old world number three English professional produced two consecutive centuries in the sixth and seventh frames to take control of his match against the defending champion. O’Sullivan was beaten in the last two year finals.

After winning the fifth, Murphy was equalizing the score. However, O’Sullivan took advantage on an early miss on the blue in the sixth frame by the opponent.

O’Sullivan produced an impressive break of 129 to take a two-frame lead and made the 965th century break.

Murphy made 102-0 in frame eight, but it was already too late with O’Sullivan was taking the ninth frame. He made into the final with breaks of 65 and 59.

O'Sullivan will face the winner of the match between Mark Allen and Kyren Wilson in the final on Sunday.
