In a dramatic fashion, Lewis Hamilton won the Brazilian Grand Prix after Red Bull's Max Verstappen had a fateful collision with driver Esteban Ocon at Interlagos circuit. With this win, team Mercedes secured their fifth successive Formula One constructors’ championship title.
Verstappen was taking the lead when Force India's Ocon hit his car on the inside of the Red Bull in 43 laps at the Senna S. The Dutchman lost control of his car and spun out of the track, allowing Hamilton back into the lead and victory.
Verstappen was furious and he yelled over the radio: "What a f****** idiot."
He was left five seconds down on the Briton. Hamilton took 1:27:09:066 to complete the 71 laps with 25pts. It was his fifth career title making him level with Juan Manuel Fangio. German legend Michael Schumacher has seven titles.
After losing the title, distraught Verstapeen was seen shoving Ocon multiple times as can be seen in a video footage.
