British professional boxer Joe Joyce has warned Jarrell Miller against provoking Anthony Joshua after American shoved the rival at a press conference.

Miller (30) heavily shoved Joshua (29) at their first conference after spurting words on his opponent. The American contender will challenge Joshua for the WBO, WBA, IBF, IBO heavyweight titles on June 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The boxer hurled a long speech full of offensive words alongside other insults towards his opponent. He called the Briton “fraud”, “Uncle Tom” and all kinds of insults that could boil a person. He also went on to take a jibe on Joshua’s weight gain after 2012 London Olympic.

Joshua then responded with a promise to knock Miller “the f*** out”, to which Joyce said Miller has made a mistake by angering the compatriot, who was also a teammate in the GB Olympic boxing team.

Being angry makes him even more dangerous, especially when he starts swinging those big arms around, he said.

The 33-year-old Commonwealth and Continental heavyweight champion pointed out that Joshua was usually a cool guy but he won’t be the same when angry.

Joyce was speaking after his Wednesday press conference ahead of fighting Bermane Stiverne on Saturday at the O2 in London.
