Arsenal have launched an internal investigation after a CCTV footage showed several players sucking nitrous oxide from balloons at a private party.

A video obtained by The Sun shows millionaire stars, including Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Matteo Guendouzi and Sead Kolasinac partying in a VIP lounge.

Reports said the incident was taken place at the exclusive Tape Club in London’s West End in August, before the start of the season.

In the video, Ozil, Aubameyang, Lacazette, and Guendouzi are sucking the balloons and laughing, while Ozil appeared to be in semi-conscious state.

The worst part is when the 19-year-old Guendouzi apparently passed out and fell on the sofa after inhaling the substance.

However, Sead Kolasinac, Shkodran Mustafi, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who is seen sucking on a lollipop, were not filmed taking the substance.

Confirming that Arsenal will discuss the matter internally, a spokesperson said they will speak to the players and remind of “their responsibilities as representatives of the club.”

The wild party reportedly racked up a bill of up to £30,000. The players were also left the party in the early morning with girls.

Also known as “hippy crack”, nitrous oxide is not illegal, but it is prohibited for under 18s. The substance is bought in pressured canisters and transferred to a balloon. Users, after inhaling the gas, may experience in different ways – euphoria, relaxation, and calmness. There is also risk of unconsciousness and death if there is a lack of oxygen for breathing.
