Argentinian footballer Emiliano Sala sent a haunting last audio message to his loved ones on Monday night before the plane he was on board disappeared over the English Channel. In the chilling recording on WhatsApp, the 28-year-old was saying that he was scared because the plane looked like it was about to crash.
Sala, who had a record £15 million signing with Cardiff City, was on board Piper FA-46 Malibu with the pilot before the plane with went missing on route from Nantes to Cardiff.
An Argentinian publication Ole released the audio Whatsapp message sent by Sala to close friends minutes before the plane vanished.
In the first recording, the Cardiff striker told his friends that he got really “tired” as he was in Nantes doing “things”.
Then Sala told his friends, “I’m here on a plane that looks like it’s about to fall apart, and I’m going to Cardiff, crazy, tomorrow have we already start, and in the afternoon we start training, boys, in my new team.”
However, it got creepier when he sent another message later.
“How are you guys, all good? If you do not have any more news from in an hour and a half, I don’t know if they need to send someone to find me. I am getting scared!” he said.
Guernsey Police on Twitter said that the aircraft probably landed on water and made it into the life raft and the search area has been prioritized on the life raft option.
